Need to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your GM GlobalConnect / AutoPartners.net account?
Both your work-provided email account and your
General Motors AutoPartners.net account are Microsoft accounts.

Before you begin, please make sure you are not already signed into your work-provided account.
- Visit your work email (Outlook Web App)
- Click on your name in the top right corner
- Click SIGN OUT.
- Close your browser, open your browser and continue with the steps below

1. Visit this Microsoft site: https://aka.ms/mfasetup
*** If you are presented with this screen, click on "Sign in with another account"
2. You will be presented with the following sign-in screen.
Enter your existing Global Connect user ID that you use to log into Global Connect with followed by @vsp.autopartners.net
3. You will be prompted to enter your password. Enter the existing password that you use for your Global Connect user ID. Click “Sign in”.
4. You will be presented with the following screen. Click “Next”.
5. You will be prompted with the following screen. Click on “I want to set up a different method”. The easiest method to use is a text message to a cell phone, but If you already use an authenticator app, feel free to use it!
6. You will be presented with the following screen. Click “Phone”.
7. Enter your phone number and select “Receive a code”. Click “Next”. A code will be sent to your cell phone via text message.
8. Enter the 6-digit code in the appropriate field and click “Next”.
9. You will receive a confirmation that your phone is registered. Click “Next”.
10. You will receive another confirmation indicating you have successfully set up your security information. Click “Done”.
